Hiding under rocks isn’t as much fun as I thought …

It’s been quite some time since my last post. The rock I’ve been hiding under got a little cramped and cold.

It’s been hard to summon any interest in anything lately due to this seemingly endless winter. I was so very tired of writing about the cold.

So today, I did something I don’t normally do. I stopped during a training run to take a picture of my country’s flag. The sun was shining just so and our flag was glowing.

I am proud to be Canadian.
I love my country.
I love my city.

She’s no ordinary Evil Minion …

My mother has a little white kitty who loves her very much.  Sadly for the rest of us, the cat only loves my mother and nobody else.  During each visit, she guards the door to the basement stairs and launches herself at visitors when they attempt to leave.  This reminds me of a scene from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”.

TIM: Follow. But! Follow only if ye be men of valor, for the entrance to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel that no man yet has fought with it and lived! Bones of full fifty men lie strewn about its lair. So, brave knights, if you do doubt your courage or your strength, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth.
ARTHUR: Where?
TIM: There!
ARTHUR: What, behind the kitty?
TIM: It is the kitty!
ARTHUR: You silly sod!
TIM: What?
ARTHUR: You got us all worked up!
TIM: Well, that’s no ordinary kitty.
TIM: That’s the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered feline you ever set eyes on.
